Some weeks ago, I've read the last page of "O Evangelho segundo Jesus Cristo", by José Saramago.
Sometime is good to be naive and ignorant: I'm 28, and this is my first Saramago book. I knew his fame, but I never red one of his book. So, here come the pure, unexpected joy of being dragged into this narration, complex until the utmost simplicity, as hard as a stony path in Galilee.
And above all a man, his flesh, his blood, his fear, his doubt, his feeling of being a man and at the same time being what other people (and God) want him to be.
I love cinema. It's a constant inspiration for my work and life. Of course animated movies have a special place in my favourite list. I adore Chaplin, Disney, Scorsese, Sorrentino, Miyazaki, Tarantino, Haneke, Garrone, Gondry, Chomet, Coppola (daughter more than dad, lately), and I'm going random.
Novels and comic books are always with me (mostly on the bus!). My book baptism was a bloody one, with dirty, violent greek myths, and went from Pinocchio to Palahniuk passing through Eco, Carroll, Lansdale, O'Brian, Tolkien and so many more.
I do canyoning and speleology. Actually I did.
I like to go randomly around my town and take pencil and watercolour sketches.
I can't resist at the sight of lonely cookies and pies. Gotta eat them.
